Trade terms
Commercial notes for food businesses buying Madagascar Bourbon vanilla extract from Sugar Délice in the UAE.
Who these terms are for
Trade terms are for professional buyers: bakeries, patisseries, hotels, restaurants, cafés, ice cream plants, chocolate ateliers, manufacturers, caterers, cloud kitchens, and distributors. They sit beside the Terms of supply and any quote we issue.
Specification
Buy on spec, not on folklore. Each lot we discuss should name origin (Madagascar Bourbon), fold, solvent, and, where relevant, vanillin and seed content. If you need organic, heat-stable, or paste rather than extract, say so on the enquiry.
We record fold, vanillin, and solvent per lot so production and R&D can match a previous batch.
Pack sizes and first orders
Sample evaluation typically starts at 250 ml, 1 L, or 5 L. Recurring supply is quoted by litre per month. First commercial orders may be smaller than your eventual run so you can lock a spec before scaling.
Lead time and delivery in the UAE
In-stock lots for UAE delivery are quoted with a dispatch window on the confirmation. Import or special-spec lots follow the lead time on the quote. We deliver to business addresses in the seven emirates; other destinations are quoted case by case.
Unless the quote says otherwise, delivery is to your door in the UAE, unpaid duties not applying on domestic moves. You unload and store at the temperature and light conditions suitable for vanilla extract.
Pricing, payment, and VAT
Prices are in AED unless we quote another currency. VAT is added where UAE law requires it. Payment terms appear on the invoice — often advance payment on a first lot, then agreed terms once an account is open.
Storage, rushed delivery, or split drops may carry a surcharge stated before we ship.
Quality and claims
Check seals, lot codes, and volume on receipt. Quality claims must come with the lot code, photos, and a short note on how the extract was stored and used. We will replace or credit a lot that does not match the agreed spec, after we review it.
Taste in a finished recipe depends on your formula, process, and other ingredients. A sensory difference in ice cream or pastry is not by itself a spec failure.
Resale and private label
Distributors and private-label brands must not alter lot codes or origin claims. Any pack that carries the Sugar Délice name needs our written OK. You remain responsible for your own labelling under UAE food law.
